WP will support the largest bank finance process for PV in Poland

Wind Prospect has been selected for banks advisor for the largest financing transaction of solar projects in Poland so far.

Santander Bank Polska and mBank signed a PLN 350m (EUR 79m) contract to finance solar projects developed by R.Power, a leading Polish investor and developer of photovoltaic plants. Financing will be allocated to the construction of 128 solar power plants with a total capacity of 121 MWp, which won last year's RES auction.

New team member

Andrzej Kurpiewski experienced manager and electrical engineer joined to our team. Andrzej has over 25 years of professional experience in the energy sector, started work in the Energoprojekt Consulting later supervised international project of the Poland-Lithuania power link (LitPol Link). Graduated from the Electrical Faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology obtained the title of MSc. and postgraduate EMBA studies at the Warsaw University of Technology Business School.

Marek Kras joined Wind Prospect team

Marek has more than 10 years’ experience in renewable energy sector both in Republic of Ireland and Poland in solar and wind energy. Marek has an excellent skill in PV and wind farm projects development. Marek is certified project manager IPMA C with electrical engineering background. Before he joined Wind Prospect he had been working as technical consultant for wind farm and PV farms development and construction. Marek participated in development of 600MW PV projects and participated in construction of approximate 150MW of renewable energy projects across Poland.

Wind Prospect in 2019

We are happy to inform that year 2019 was another busy year for Wind Prospect, we provided extensive scope of services to over 700 PV projects and over 40 wind projects with total capacity over 1GW. We supported banks during bank finance as bank engineer, investment funds and utility investors during acquisition processes.

November 2018 PV auction results

URE published results of the third auction for projects with capacity up to 1MW.

Here are the main facts & figures:

• Auction marked AZ/9/2018 took place November 12th 2018
• Announced auction capacity – 16’065’000 MWh over 15 years period – which gives 1060 MW capacity if 1010 MWh/MW is assumed
• According to different sources around 650 MW participated in the auction
• 554 projects were successful
• Successful projects offered delivery of 8’169’917 MWh for the amount of 2’878’556’631 PLN
• Cut off price was equal to 364.99 PLN/MWh
• Average price for MWh was equal to 352.33 PLN/MWh
• The lowest offered price was 288,99 PLN/MWh
• Around 540 MW of new PV projects will be constructed in the 2019-2020

Rpower, Wiatrel, ReneSola, Wento, GEO Renewables, Quadran, Solartechnik
