Technical support for Orlen acquisition

Orlen Wind 3, a subsidiary of ORLEN S.A., has signed a preliminary agreement with EDP Renewables Polska for the acquisition of three RES projects, collectively named Kopernik. This landmark deal includes two photovoltaic farms and one wind farm, with a combined capacity of 306 MW.
🔹 Chotków PV Farm: Located in Żagań County, Lubuskie Voivodeship, this 45-hectare farm, commissioned in January, boasts over 61,000 photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 40 MWp.
🔹 Przykona PV Farm: Situated on a reclaimed former opencast lignite mine in Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, this farm currently has a capacity of 200 MWp. An additional 40 MWp expansion is underway, making it the largest photovoltaic farm in Poland upon completion by the end of this year.
🔹 Warta Wind Farm: Established in May last year in Łódzkie Voivodeship, this wind farm comprises 13 turbines with a total capacity of 26 MW.

We are thrilled to have been part of this endeavour. Wind Prospect Polska supported PwC Polska, ORLEN S.A.’s advisor in evaluating the technical aspects of the Kopernik project prior to the purchase. A special thanks goes to Marcin Mazur for their expertise and valuable work in leading this collaboration! 👏

Congratulations to ORLEN S.A. on this remarkable achievement! 🌍💚 And big thanks to PwC Polska – always a pleasure to work with you!
